What is The Somebody Society?

“Do you remember in

kindergarten how you'd meet a kid and know nothing about them, then 10 seconds later you're playing like you're best friends, because you didn't have to be anything but yourself?” - Gabriella Montez (high school musical)

When we leave school and go into the “real world” we are never fully prepared for the rest of our life. As kids, we are allowed to express ourselves through hobbies, sports, art, music, you name it. But once we start our “big kid jobs”, it can be so hard to find the time and energy to be social after your 9-5. And chances are, the only thing going on in town is bingo night at 5:30. (no hate bingo). And for most of us, this isn’t gossip girl where you can dance the night away at a fancy gala , or mingle at a gallery opening. And if you move? Well unless you know someone in your new city - your essentially S.O.L.

But what if you had an opportunity to try something different? Meet someone new without the awkward “should I go talk to them and tell them I like their outfit so we can be friends and go to brunch?” (or am I the only one that thinks that?)

Thats what The Somebody Society is - a social club dedicated to bringing you fun activities and the chance to meet your new brunch buddy. Open for anyone and everyone to make new friends, or create a lasting memory, we host events at least once a month with different themes. Having themes is a fun way to get out of your comfort zone, and interact with the other members. We love to support small businesses, whether on social media or in swag bags, and our events are great to network in a casual way.

Whether you are new to the area, newly out of school, or at a new place in life looking for your new community - you are in the right place, and we can’t wait to meet you.

Work with us

Along with hosting events in different cities, we create content via blogs, reels, tiktoks and podcasts to support other businesses.

Additionally, our founder loves to appear as a guest on podcasts, and to speak at conferences and events.

Lexie is the creative behind The Somebody Society, along with Jasper Lain- her interior decorating company, and Lain Studios- her event design sister company.

The Somebody Society has been a dream of hers for years that she finally said "f*ck it" and started in November of 2021. She has always seen the need for a community of people to meet and have new experiences. She can not wait to share with you everything she has in mind!

Outside of her businesses, she loves hiking, anything outdoors, weaving, and all the dogs. She graduated from Auburn University and was a cross country queen in high school. If you see her around or at an event - say hi! (but she will talk your ear off!)
